Totem for Peace

The "Totem for Peace" is a trademark duly filed in accordance with the regulations. Therefore, any initiatives undertaken by third parties using that trademark or the word "Totem for Peace" in any context and for whatever purpose, it integrates to all intents and purposes the case of trademark infringement.

The "Totem of Peace", the work of the Turin sculptor Mario Molinari, is the symbol of the "United States of the World" and represents the Peace: it was chosen in 1997 by 3,000 representatives of 181 countries and since then the "United States of the World" with the "Fondazione Mediterraneo" are spreading this universal symbol by setting up the network of "Cities for Peace".
The sculptor Mario Molinari was an artist of clear fame, sensitive to the themes of peace and dialogue between cultures, as evidenced by his numerous works and his life.
The cultural project of the "Totem of Peace" is carried out in the world by Michele Capasso: dedicated, since 1987, to the construction of dialogue as a tool for the mediation of conflicts, he combines his international experience of social and intercultural planning and planning with the professional one of architect and engineer.
Many countries have created the monumental work symbolising peace and coexistence between different peoples. Among the main ones are:

   

The sail that symbolizes the journey, the sea. The Totem for Peace by sculptor Mario Molinari became the symbol for the Mak p 100 Novices Ball for the 222nd Course of the “Nunziatella” Military Academy in Naples.

The Commander General o f the Military Academy of Modena, Division General Massimiliano De Casale presided the ceremony, at which civil and military representatives spoke. They included the patroness of the ceremony, Councillor for Culture for the Region of Campania, Prof. Caterina Miraglia.

The Commander of the “Nunziatella” Military Academy, Colonel Bernardo Barbarotto received the “2012 Mediterranean Award”, a replica of the “Totem for Peace” by sculptor Mario Molinari, which was duly conferred by the President of the Fondazione Michele Capasso and Pia Molinari.
President Capasso read out the reasons for the award before approximately 1000 participants.

The “2012 Mediterranean Award for Institutions” was awarded to the “NunziatellaMilitary Academy in Naples at two ceremonies that took place to celebrate the traditional Mak p 100 for the pupils of the 222nd Course. The General Commander of the Military Academy of Modena, Division General, Massimiliano De Casale, presided over the ceremony at which the Prefect of Naples Andrea De Martino, the Mayor of Naples, Luigi de Magistris and representatives from Civil and military Authorities spoke. The Patroness of the ceremony was the Councillor for Culture for the Region of Campania, Prof. Caterina Miraglia.
A solemn ceremony was observed before the banners of the Region of Campania, the Province of Naples and the Municipality of Naples to award the “Mediterranean Award for Institutions”. The Commander of the “Nunziatella” Military Academy, Colonel Bernardo Barbarotto , received the Totem for Peace, a sculpture by Mario Molinari from the President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo, Michele Capasso, accompanied for the occasion by Pia Molinari.

President Michele Capasso spoke at the ceremony to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the ”Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri”.
Mayors from different cities attended the ceremony including Assisi, Perugia, Torre del Greco, Ercolano, Massa di Somma, San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and gave their support to “Totem for Pace” project.
The President of the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio Section of the Association, Giuseppe Imperato, was given honorary citizenship for having promoted his Vesuvian town in more than 20 years of activities
