Youths

Since 1994 Fondazione Mediterraneo promots activities for youths: seminars, workshops, twinnings, publications, concerts, exhibitions and many others, in order to create a real cooperation among youths all over the world.
In particular, the Museum of Peace - MAMT aims to restore confidence to young people by telling the "positive" that surrounds us with an unprecedented multimedia system.
Over the last thirty years, the Foundation has carried out over 3,000 initiatives in favor of young people.

It has been held at Fondazione Mediterraneo the Opening Conference of events for the tenth anniversary of Anna Lindh Foundation with the partecipation of all institution authorities: 42 Ambassadors members of the Governor’s board, Consultative Committee and National Networks Leader.
The Fondazione Mediterraneo has illustrated the programs for young people involved in intercultural dialogue, including through the new means of information and communication.

The culture exchange programme "Active Citizenship: how things work in your country" continued thanks to the involvement of organizers and participants. Foreign delegations and youths representing different European and Mediterranean countries were able to come closer together to get to know how young Italians live, focusing in particular on the relationship between youths and institutions.

From  its Headquarters in Via Depretis, 130  Naples, for twenty years now the Fondazione Mediterraneo has been holding meetings in which  young people can discuss the need for change and  robust social commitment from young people especially in a period in which the crisis of values and customs continues to evolve at an alarming pace.

The 6th World Urban Forum organised in Naples by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) also aimed at promoting the role of youths as actors in the development of cities. To this end, on 2 September 2012, the World Urban Youth Assembly dedicated a day to the theme of promoting gender equality.

During the session, President Michele Capasso reported on  “Youth Employment, Entrepreneurship and Social responsibility: The development of initiatives for Urban Youth”; at the end were awarded of the titles of "Standard Bearers of the United States of the World" to a delegation of young people from 147 countries.
