There was great excitement at the message sent by a dear Lebanese friend on 5 May 2025, who sent images of Saint Charbel to the Museum of Peace: ‘A powerful saint,’ he said, ‘who performed many miracles and healings and who will also leave his mark on Naples.’
"We wanted to dedicate a chapel in the Peace Museum to Saint Charbel Makhluf, a great Lebanese saint, known as the “Padre Pio” of the Middle East. We are honoured that this inauguration is taking place today, 8 May, the day of the Supplication to the Virgin of the Rosary of Pompei and, we all hope, the day of the election of a new Pope, a worthy successor to our dear Francis".
With these words from Secretary-General Michele Capasso and the screening of a video dedicated to Saint Charbel, the Peace Museum is enriched with a place of great significance with the Chapel dedicated to Saint Charbel, which joins the Chapels dedicated to Don Bosco, Madre Mazzarello, San Pio da Pietrelcina, Madre Teresa di Calcutta, San Giovanni Paolo II and – soon – Carlo Acutis.
