2013 (EN)

In a phase of obvious and dramatic decline that is not only limited to the economic sphere but extends deeply into social and cultural areas, Italy has for too long been faced with the manifest inability of politics and politicians to produce and implement complex solutions that are sensible, shared and efficient. This initial cycle of meetings attempts to set up a framework for analysis of some of the urgent problems we are faced with and provide constructive answers to them.

Through different perspectives – that of an Italian expatriate who opens the cycle of seminars to that of an African immigrant who closes it – we seek to discover the identity of Italy and our territory with a dynamic and dialectic approach that has been left unexpectedly vulnerable. This is the responsibility of a university, proposing original or unusual interpretations of the events happening around us. These interpretations may ultimately be judges as being awkward and coarse.2013-04-21
