THE WINNER OF THE "DO GOOD" AWARD AT THE MUSEUM OF PEACE FOR ... A PRIZE!

With an agreement between the Fondazione Mediterraneo and the "Orientamenti-APS" association it was agreed that the winner of the "Fare .. Bene" active citizenship award would be hosted at the Museum of Peace - MAMT during a significant event for citizenship and the quality of life.
The girl who won the 2019 Prize is called Arianna Ciarletta: she is 16 years old, she attends the III E class of the Linguistic High School of the Istituto Superiore Margherita Hack of Morlupo, and was reported by her schoolmates for her active and proven commitment in volunteering.
Accompanied by a teacher, the president and vice-president Alessandra Paradisi of the "Orientamenti-APS" association, Arianna participated in the events of 11 December 2019 and in the presentation of the "Il Natale della Ricerca" and "La Città del Dialogo" awards at the Peace Museum - MAMT.
On this occasion they visited the Museum expressing satisfaction for an extraordinary place.

The presentation conference of the International Prize "City of dialogue" - established by the Fondazione Mediterraneo - and of the National Prize "Architecture and city" - established by the Cenacle of culture and science - was held at the Museum of Peace - MAMT.
After the introductory speech by President Michele Capasso, prof. Massimo Pica Ciamarra illustrated the importance of the award in recognition of the production of works and initiatives for the quality of life.

President Michele Capasso received the "Premio Natale della Ricerca" for his thirty-year commitment to dialogue and peace.
In the short thank-you speech, Capasso highlighted that the prize received is “the us Award”, as it is intended for all those, representing various Euro-Mediterranean countries, who have contributed and allowed the Fondazione Mediterraneo to play a leading role in the Euro-Mediterranean partnership.

A rich week of meetings ended in Abu Dhabi (7-10 December 2019), capital of the United Arab Emirates, where some of the most famous international networks of Muslim scholars gathered.
The initiative is organized by the World Council of Islamic Communities (World Muslim Communities Council WMCC), chaired by Ali Rashid Nuaimi (UAE).
The event ended with the ceremony of signing the Charter for a new alliance of virtues.

On the sidelines of the event an appeal was launched for the headquarters of the Museum of Peace - MAMT in Naples, where there is a significant Mosque and other religious places consecrated for a constructive interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
President Capasso highlighted the collaborative relationships with the UAE and, in particular, with Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi.

Meetings hosted by the Museum of Peace - MAMT continue to analyze the development prospects of Southern Italy in the wider Mediterranean framework.
After the thematic session on migration with the parliamentarians of the Democratic Party and the one with the M5S and LEU parliamentarians, it is the time of the meeting "The future of the South".
Moderated by the director of the Corriere del Mezzogiorn Enzo d’Errico, saw the participation of Stefano Caldoro, Clemente Mastella, Salvatore Ronghi, Severino Nappi, Amedeo La Boccetta and Lina Lucci.

Large influx of visitors to the Museum of Peace - MAMT for the live connection on the big screens with Pope Francesco da Greccio for the signing of his "Apostolic Letter on the true meaning of the crib".
The Pope returned to the "second Bethlehem" after four years to sign the document on the meaning and value of this custom invented by St. Francis.
Sitting in front of the altar of the cave where St. Francis made the first nativity scene in history, the Pope plunges into a profound silence. The fresco with the Madonna nursing the Child Jesus seems to look at him with tenderness. And he also raises his eyes from time to time towards the image, in a silent dialogue. Yes, it is true, there is no need for so many words in this "new Bethlehem" set in the heart of the Lazio Apennines.
Because speaking is the same crib and because "the scene that is placed before our eyes - underlines Francesco in the subsequent short meditation - expresses the wisdom we need to grasp the essential". Silence and prayer, to transmit the fundamental message of the birth of Jesus are the ingredients of this afternoon of early Advent, in which the Pope visits the sanctuary at the gates of Greccio and signs a letter on the meaning and value of the crib, a tradition that we must continue, the Pope writes in the document, at home, as well "in workplaces, in schools, in hospitals, in prisons, in squares". But during the visit, prayer prevails, which is transmitted after the warm welcome of the arrival, even to a few thousand faithful, who have come from all over the area. A climate of recollection that actually recreates that of the Holy Night.

The participants in the "XXVII Anti-Mafia Summit" held in Florence - among them the anti-mafia prosecutor Cesare Sirignano, Giuseppe Antoci, representatives of the judiciary, the Guardia di Finanza, the Carabinieri, the State Police and democratic institutions - have unanimously shared the Appeal for the headquarters of the Museum of Peace - MAMT signed by representatives of various countries of the world.
The President of the Caponnetto Foundation Salvatore Calleri, in a statement to the press, underlined that "the XXVII Summit gave full mandate to all members of the Caponnetto Foundation - representing various institutions - to protect the Fondazione Mediterraneo in all democratic ways in order to maintain the headquarters of the Museum of Peace - MAMT and of the "Mediterranean Observatory on Organized Crime and the Mafias" in Naples in the Pierce Palace".
