ANNIVERSARIES AT THE MUSEUM: 30 YEARS SINCE SANDRO PERTINI'S DEATH

The twelfth anniversary is dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Sandro Pertini.
Many students intervened in the multimedia rooms of the Museum where - in the section "The great protagonists of history" - videos, images and documents are available on the Italian statesman, the unforgettable President of the Republic.
On this occasion excerpts of his speeches were read and the interviews and all the video material on Sandro Pertini were repeated on the 5 floors of the Museum.
President Michele Capasso recalled the friendship between President Pertini and his father Raffaele and frequented at a young age, as well as visits to San Sebastiano al Vesuvio

THE FONDAZIONE MEDITERRANEO AND ANNA LINDH ITALIA FEDERATION PARTICIPATE IN THE "MEDITERRANEAN PEACE BORDER" MEETING

The Fondazione Mediterraneo and the Anna Lindh Italy Federation - in particular the members of Puglia - participated in the "Mediterranean frontier of peace" reflection and spirituality meeting organized by the Italian Episcopal Conference.
Sixty bishops from the Mediterranean countries reflected on the current situation and on the indispensable interreligious dialogue.
Cardinal Bassetti said that Giorgio La Pira's dream has come true.
The event ended with the meeting of Pope Francis with the Cardinals and Bishops of the various countries representing the Catholic churches of the Mediterranean
President Capasso said he was impressed by the depth and importance of this initiative which is in full harmony with the action that the Mediterranean Foundation for dialogue and peace in the region has pursued for thirty years, "with a recognized anticipatory awareness when then, very few spoke of the Mediterranean”

The Fondazione Mediterraneo and the Anna Lindh Italy Federationin particular the members of Puglia - participated in the celebration of the Holy Mass presided over by Pope Francis at the conclusion of the meetings of the CEI "Mediterranean frontier of Peace". The celebration was attended by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
President Capasso said he was moved by this initiative which made Giorgio La Pira's dream come true, which inspired the birth of the Mediterranean Foundation just 30 years ago.

YOUNG PEOPLE OF "TERRITORIAL EDUCATION BEYOND THE ROAD" VISITING THE MUSEUM

The youth of "Editorial education Beyond the road" accompanied by the teachers visited the Museum.
Welcomed by President Capasso, they expressed appreciation for a place capable of fueling positive emotions.
The association's work is based on relationships and emotions and intended for young people who are "emotional illiterates", unable to read the emotions that constitute an essential element of the human person.

General Maurizio Stefanizzi, Commander of the Carabinieri Legion of Campania, visited the United States of the World headquarters with the Museum of Peace.
Welcomed by the president Michele Capasso and the director Pia Molinari, he expressed his appreciation for the place and the activities carried out

On this occasion, certificates of "Standard Bearers of the United States of the World" were awarded to young Carabinieri trainees.
