It took place in Palermo the 6th Plenary Meeting of Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly headed by Abdelwahed Radi.
Parliamentars of several Mediterranean Countries decided to celebrate the 21 March as “Mediterranean Day”, giving particular attention to migrants who are losing their life in the sea. In several countries, on March 21th events will took place.
The president of Fondazione Mediterraneo Michele Capasso – observer member -joined plenary meeting highlighting the historical importance of this period, characterized by “Arab Spring” and responsibilities of parliamentary “democratically” elected.
In this occasion President Capasso proposed to gather, in a special meeting ad “hoc”, the Assembly in occasion of year 2013, when the city of Naples will host the “Universal Forum of Cultures”.
