At the margins of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers 5 + 5, the Forum of Civil Society was held in Tangier on the theme of "La Méditerranée, an area of ​​dialogue and création de richesses partagées".
For Italy and for the RIDE, the Minster Pl Enrico Granara and a delegation of the RIDE were made up of members of the National Civil Service.
The Forum was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, in collaboration with the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The opening ceremony of the Forum was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Salaheddine Mezouar and marked in particular by the Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UPM), Fathallah Sijilmassi and more than sixty members of the Civil Society Representative of the member countries of the "5 + 5" dialogue: on the north coast of Portugal Spain, France, Italy and Malta and on the southern Mediterranean of Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Algeria and Libya.
The 12th Foreign Ministers meeting in the Western Mediterranean "5 + 5" talks about "Young people, the guarantee of a stable and prosperous Mediterranean".
"With the launch of the civil society segment, it is now possible to say that Dialogue 5 + 5 fully takes on its global and strategic focus," Mezouar said, pointing to the need for civil society to be appropriate of the contemporary themes and issues of the Western Mediterranean, in the sense that the contribution to reflection on the future of this region is "something more" than the great Mediterranean project.
Significant is the presence of UPM head of division for the promotion of women in society, Delphine Borione.
"The cutting of the Forum was essentially the beginning of young people's work through the evolution of the cultural approach to work and risk," said Min. Pl Granara.
