In the framework of the Anna Lindh Foundation Forum (#ALForum2025) held in Tirana, Albania, the President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo and Secretary-General of the United States of the World Michele Capasso spoke at the 19 June plenary session - organised by UNAOC (United Nations Alliance of Civilisations) - focused on the theme "Bridging Cultures and Religions in the Euro-Mediterranean Region: Reflections on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity".
Led by H.E. Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the UNAOC and UN Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia, and moderated by Ms. Nihal Saad, Director of the UNAOC, the session brought together high-level speakers, including: H.E. Mr. George Andreas Papandreou, former Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic; H.E. Mr. Mladen Ivanic, former President of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina; H.E. Mr. Egemen Bağış, former Minister of European Union Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye and Prof. Michele Capasso, President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo and Secretary-General of the United States of the World: on this occasion, the latter launched "THE APPEAL FOR PEACE AGAINST WAR", which has already been signed by more than one million people and whose first signatories include Miguel Angel Moratinos and Michele Capasso.
On this occasion, Michele Capasso met with the President of the Anna Lindh Foundation Princess Rym Ali and many leaders who recalled Michele Capasso's role as Founder and promoter of the same Foundation from 2002 to 2018.
