THE PREFECT OF NAPLES WELCOMES THE INTERNATIONAL DELEGATIONS ATTENDING THE CEREMONIES FOR THE SHRINE DEDICATED TO POPE FRANCIS

The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, received the international delegations present at the ceremonies for the Shrine dedicated to Pope Francis in the Government Palace.
In his speech, the prefect underlined the role and dedication of SG Michele Capasso for peace, recalling the origins of the town of San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, in the presence of parish priest don Enzo Cozzolino.
The High Representative for the Alliance of Civilisations and UN Secretary-General of the United Nations Miguel Àngel Moratinos highlighted the role of the United States of the World and the Fondazione Mediterraneo on the international scene.
Among the speakers were the Ambassador of Bosnia to Italy Amira Arifović Harms, the deputy mayor of Srebrenica and president of the committee for the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the genocide Hamdija Fejzić accompanied by Sadeta Suljić, Prof. Lhassan Hbid with his wife Lamia, the deputy mayor of Gernika Jon Lejarraga, and the Ambassadors of the United States of the World Giuseppe Lumia and Giuseppe D’Antonio.
