The spirit of Don Bosco and the Salesians present in 132 countries of the world is renewed in the "Virtual Salesian Oratory" of the Museum of Peace - Mamt: a unique and fascinating experience through 12 emotional itineraries and a visit to the Chapel with the relic of the "Saint of Young People" At a difficult time in our history Don Bosco's message for young people and with young people is more relevant than ever and constitutes the antidote against all forms of radicalism and fundamentalism, helping young people to become "Producers of the future" and "Hunters of the positive". The virtual Salesian Oratory and the emotional paths "Don Bosco, Power of Love" are realized by the Fondazione Mediterraneo and the General Direction Opere Don Bosco in collaboration with the South Salesian Province and the Salesians from all over the world.

 

 

 

During a solemn ceremony, the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco - Don Ángel Fernández Artime with the Inspector of the Salesians of the South Don Pasquale Cristiani, the Magnificent Rector of the Salesian Pontifical University and other representatives of the Salesian Family (Salesian Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Cooperators, etc.) blessed the Chapel of the Museum of Peace dedicated to Don Bosco, which houses the relic of the "Saint of the Youth".

The Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco Don Ángel Fernández Artime - accompanied by Don Horacio Lopez and the Ambassadors to the Holy See of Panama, Miroslava Rosas Vargas, and of Guatemala, Alfredo Vàsquez Rivera - inaugurated the Museum of Peace dedicated to "DON BOSCO THE POWER OF LOVE ": twelve emotional journeys through the 5 floors of the Museum where the messages of Don Bosco and the essential moments of the Salesian Family's action in 132 countries of the world are gathered with videos and hypertextual tools.
To welcome the Rector Major and many representatives of the Salesian Family - from the Magnificent Rector of the Salesian Pontifical University Don Mauro Mantovani to the inspector of Southern Italy Don Pasquale Cristiani up to the representatives of the Daughters of Maria Ausiliatrice and the cooperators - Michele Capasso president of Fondazione Mediterraneo, Pia molinari and Claudio Azzolini.
Present at the ceremony were the delegate of the Rector of the Federico II University Gilberto Sammartino, the Councilor for the Campania Region Serena Angioli, the Councilor for the City of Naples, Annamaria Palmieri and the representatives of military, civil and religious institutions.

In this occasion the Major Rector thanked the Fondazione Mediterraneo and Michele Capasso to made this meeting and this moment of prayer possible on the occasion of the opening of the museum dedicated to "DON BOSCO THE POWER OF LOVE”.

The Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco Don Ángel Fernández Artime accompanied by Don Horacio Lopez and the Ambassadors to the Holy See of Panama, Miroslava Rosas Vargas, and Guatemala, Alfredo Vàsquez Rivera - together with representatives of the Salesian Family, young people from the Salesian schools and migrants welcomed by the Salesians in the Family Houses, he paid homage and placed a laurel crown in front of the urn with the relics of Migrante Ignoto, housed in the monumental work "Totem della Pace" by sculptor Mario Molinari in the port of Naples.

A group of Salesians and FMA Sisters from the South Salesian Province from the regions of Southern Italy visited the Museum of Peace as a preview - Don Bosco expressing their satisfaction for the realization of the Virtual Salesian Oratory.
In particular, the most significant videos of the 12 emotional paths were projected on the big screens: from Pope Francis' visit to Valdocco to the video "Don Bosco, the power of love".

Don Angelo Santorsola - Director of the Salesian House of Vomero and next  Inspector for the South of Salesians - and Fr Fabio Bellino - delegate to youth pastoral care - led a delegation of young students from the Salesian Institute of Naples - Vomero in the "Don Bosco Chapel" of the Museum of Peace, on the occasion of the festival dedicated to the "Saint of Young People".
An exciting moment of prayer among the finds, objects and symbols of Don Bosco.
On this occasion some videos of "Don Bosco, the power of love" were previewed: twelve emotional paths that will constitute the Salesian Oratory virtual, a hub of Salesians in the world and whose inauguration is scheduled for February 17,2017 in the presence of the Rector Major Don Angel Fernandez Artime.
