On this occasion, the president Michele Capasso, prof. Gilles Kepel and Jack Lang, former Minister of Culture of the French Republic.

ROUTES OF FRIENDSHIP: CONCERT FOR SYRIA

Great emotion at the Museum of Peace - MAMT where on the big screens, in compliance with the COVID 19 regulations, a group of visitors enjoyed the Riccardo Muti Concert broadcast by RAIUNO.
The Concert for Syria was conducted on 5 July 2020 by Maestro Riccardo Muti at the Archaeological Park of Paestum for "The ways of friendship", as part of the Ravenna Festival. An event, between music and solidarity, that Rai Cultura proposed today 23 July at 11.15 pm on Rai1.
Together with Muti, the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra and the Syrian Expat Philharmonic Orchestra, which offer Symphony n. 3 in E flat major, op. 55 "Eroica" by Ludwig van Beethoven. To precede the performance of the Symphony, the performances of the singer Aynur Doğan and the artist Zehra Doğan, both of Kurdish origin.
The concert was dedicated to Hevrin Khalaf (1984-2019) young Syrian Kurdish woman, raped and victim of a barbarian ambush and to Khaled al-Assad (1932-2015) archaeologist, director of the Archaeological Site of Palmira who died beheaded because he wanted to defend the heritage history of that area.
President Capasso recalled on this occasion the ancient friendship with Khaled al-Assad and, before the concert, he screened an unpublished video of Palmyra: the members of the Foundation present briefly illustrated all the initiatives that the Foundation has undertaken since 2011 to help innocent victims of the civil war in Syria.
The show was supported by the Campania Region in collaboration with the Salerno Chamber of Commerce and the Ravenna Festival, promoted and organized by Scabec in collaboration with the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia and with the Municipality of Capaccio.
The first major post-Covid-19 event, with over 800 spectators.

ICESCO WEBINAR - TOWARDS A GLOBAL SOLIDARITY?

Dozens of religious leaders from all over the world discussed on July 21 in a webinar promoted by ICESCO (Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), in collaboration with WMCC (World Muslim Communities Council) and the MWL (Muslim World League).
The Fondazione Mediterraneo is alongside COREIS in this process.
The theme, "Role of religious leaderships in the face of crises: towards a global moral solidarity of religious leaderships", allowed to take stock of which humanitarian initiatives to carry out in the educational and socio-cultural area in the Islamic world to counter the crisis caused by the pandemic.
It was thus an opportunity to take stock of a series of projects promoted in the Islamic world in recent years, including the "Initiative of the Guardian of the two holy mosques for dialogue between followers of religions and cultures and its executive plan" , the "Charter of Mecca", the "Marrakesh Declaration on the Rights of Religious Minorities in the Islamic World", the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Coexistence", the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the "ICESCO-Vatican Declaration on promoting the culture of respect and human solidarity", issued in Buenos Aires.
In addition to authoritative institutional representatives from several countries in the Islamic world (including for example Morocco, Sudan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the Caucasus, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Singapore, Tchad etc ...), Msgr. Khaled Akasheh, director of the Commission for Religious Relations with Muslims of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue and rav. David Rosen, director of the American Jewish Committee's Department for Interreligious Dialogue.

JOINT MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE FONDAZIONE MEDITERRANEO AND OF THE FEDERAZIONE ANNA LINDH ITALIA ONLUS

It took place at the headquarters of the Fondazione Mediterraneo - in Naples, Via Depretis n. 130 - the joint meeting of the Governing Council of the Fondazione Mediterraneo and of the Executive Committee of the Anna Lindh Italia Onlus Foundation.
The chairman of the meeting is prof. Massimo Pica Ciamarra (president of the Executive Committee of the Federation), secretary of the lawyer Valerio Barone, Managing Director.
Among the items on the agenda:

• The review of the program of activities in the light of the COVID pandemic 19.
• The new dates of the "Italy to be discovered" program.
• The activities of the "Kimiyya" program.
• The activities of the "The City of Dialogue" program.
• The activities of the members of the Anna Lindh Federation.
• The response to the warning sent on 30.06.2020 by the lawyer Sciaudone.

On this last point, the participating members unanimously delegated the lawyer. Baron to represent them fully and to respond to the warning by highlighting:

• The unresolved question of the Head of the Italian network, in the light of the questions to the Italian Parliament (Annex 4) and to the European Parliament (Annex 13) and the ongoing appeals to the Italian and European institutions (Annex 5, 6, 8 , 9, 10, 11, 12,) appointed to respect democracy and treaties (the issue has been the subject of specific Assemblies, such as that of 27.10.2017: at the following link you can view the documentation: https://www.fondazionemediterraneo.org/index.php/iniziative/federazione-anna-lindh-italia-onlus/4188-assemblea-della-federazione-anna-lindh-italia-onlus
  
• The Federation's non-existent advantage over the accession of new members, being the current 1037 all founding members who voluntarily and democratically joined (Annex 7).
• The many statements not corresponding to the facts (an example, the Appeal to the President of the Republic that would have been signed in 2019, while it was signed in 2017 when the Fondazione Mediterraneo was the Leader of the Italian Network in all respects - (Annex 1, 2, 3).
• The change of the logo and the non-existence of an "abusive" use of ALF logos with those of the "Federation" and "Fondazione Mediterraneo" (Annexes 14, 15, 16).
• The need to avoid the constant use of periodic warnings and anything else that has no basis.
• The evidence of the number of activities carried out by the ALF Federation since its establishment (over 1,300 initiatives that can be viewed on the web portals - falitalia.org).
