Secretary-General Michele Capasso, together with Pia Molinari and the members of the Executive Board and the Council of Ambassadors, expresses his deepest condolences for the death of Peppino Di Capri, a long-standing friend and supporter of the Fondazione Mediterraneo and the United States of the World.
“One of the last great figures of 20th-century Italian music has left us. A refined pianist, an elegant performer and the composer of songs that have become part of the collective memory, he spanned over sixty years of music, managing to speak to different generations without ever compromising his own style: a dear friend – I remember his last visit to the Museum of Peace,” said a moved Michele Capasso.
